After a brief trial run with a new family, it was decided that Liberty wasn't the best fit for them and they weren't the best fit for Liberty. This sometimes happens with our fosters and it never discourages us. Bringing a dog into a home is a HUGE commitment, and I truly believe that every family isn't a perfect fit for every dog. I appreciate when potential adopters aren't afraid to be truthful when they sense it isn't the perfect fit for them or the dog.
As soon as we found out Liberty was back in DDR's care, we immediately invited Liberty back to our home to foster. We love this little girl and are amused by her daily.
In a new twist, while Liberty was on her meet and greet, we welcomed a new foster to our home, Jackie, so for the first time we have two foster dogs! It has not been dull... hence the lack of posts lately.
It has been quite the adventure and my husband and I have had several conversations about how we can acquire a larger home so we can keep both dogs.... sell our cars, some organs... neither of these seem viable options at the moment. Please send me any suggestions you may have. ;)
