The girls LOVE being outside and are doing a great job of going potty on the lawn. In the backyard they love to chase and wrestle each other, see what Milo and Jackie are doing, and their new favorite... trying to eat grass, sticks, woodchips, etc... Don't worry- I watch them like a hawks so they don't get hurt. The girls play so rough in the yard so I have been taking off their collars. Claire has the light white stripe down her nose, Pink has the solid black face. The girls LOVE our big dogs, Milo and Jackie (our former foster). For some reason they especially love being in their big crates. The girls were also enjoying some morning snuggles with Jackie. The girls and Milo in the yard. Pink is getting ready to pounce. Clair is just hanging out. Pinckney definitely has the puppy dog eye down pat!
Pink has very expressive eyes, beautiful black fur, and a bright white chest. She loves affection, eating, and initiating a wrestling match with her sister. She also likes playing with Milo and chasing after balls with him. She even confident enough to bark if he has a ball she wants. She is still trying to figure out how to go down the back steps to the back door. She is curious, confident, full of energy and personality. Introducing Pinckney & St. Clair!
We've been calling them Pink and Clair for short, which we thought sounded more feminine. Although they don't really care because they don't know their names. In the photos below, Pink has on the pink collar, Clair has on the purple. These sweet little sisters are from a litter of ten (all named after Michigan cities) that was surrendered from Detroit. They are currently about ten weeks old and weigh about ten pounds. They are curious, cuddly, clumsy, and your typical sweet puppies. They have another round of shots next week and then they will be up for adoption. I don't imagine we'll be fostering them for very long. One look at these sweet little faces and I am sure there will be lots of adoption applications. This is our first time having two puppies in our home at once, so it is fascinating to see their little differences in personality. Plus, look at these little faces. Getting to love on two, sweet little puppies isn't a rough way to donate our time. They love giving kisses and being adorable. |
