A very long overdue post...
Life with Jackie has been wonderful. She adds a whole new level of fun and sweetness to our home and choosing to adopt her was the right decision for our family. We swore that we would never become "foster failures", and we tried hard to resist the urge to adopt, but when I took Jackie to her first adoption event and found myself sad and teary eyed behind my dark sunglasses at the thought of someone else besides us adopting her, we finally accepted our fate as "foster failures"
From the moment Jackie arrived at our home, there was something undeniably different about her than all our other fosters.
It is hard to put into words, but it something that my husband and I both felt.
Maybe it was how calmly she met Milo, how sweet she is when meeting new people, her goofy underbite, her amazing leash manners, her snuggles, her grunts... for our family, she is the best and we are thankful every day that we have been entrusted to give this sweet girl a great life!
Being a foster family is fantastic.
Being a foster failure is even better.
