At the shelter, Patty was so nervous the staff reported they had trouble getting her to eat some days. The first few days here, she was pretty apprehensive to eat, but it is getting better. I anticipate she might follow a similar trend when she transitions to her forever home. We have not been able to get her to eat plain, dry kibble. To help entice her to eat, try adding some smelly wet food, boiled chicken, chicken broth, or sprinkle on a little bit of cheese. As she becomes more comfortable here, we have definitely seen an increase in her interest to eat. Below are some videos of her trying different foods. |
