Well, Buddy did great at the adoption event today. We are so proud of him! We met so many amazing volunteers and potential adopters. We saw some people filling out adoption applications... we are keeping our fingers crossed that one or more of them were for Buddy.
I learned two more HUGE "positives" about Buddy this afternoon.
One, he is AMAZING in the car. He sits in the backseat, looks out the window, or lays down. No jumping to the front seat, barking, or accidents. He was super calm and just enjoyed the wind and sun in his face.
Two, he is INCREDIBLE with kids! There were two sweet little girls (ages 3 and 5) at the adoption event. Buddy was sitting when the little girls approached him. He stayed seated and did not jump onto the girls. He leaned his head into them and just adored them! I wish I had my camera on me to capture it. Buddy stayed calm, and of course rolled on his back so they could pet his tummy. :) I am not surprised at all by this since he is so gentle, but it was simply heartwarming to see. He would be a great family dog- no doubt!
