Today we took Aidan to an adoption event. He loves being around people, so he was not fond of being in the crate. The DDR staff is amazing and showered him with affection and a lot of treats to try to get him to calm down. He didn't "shine" today because he was a bit anxious, but I hope some potential adopters could see beyond that. When we took him for a potty break at the event, he lit up. When he has some fresh air and freedom, he looked so much happier. He found a soccer ball in the field, and running around with this in his mouth made him quite happy. This was our first time with Aidan in the car and he looked a bit uneasy when we put him in the backseat. My husband played chauffeur and I went to sit in the back seat with Aidan to calm his nerves. Once we were in the car for about ten minutes. he calmed down nicely and looked more comfortable. He even curled up and closed his eyes for a bit. |
